  First, please let me state that this review is not of Dr. Maksoud, but rather a Dr. Ambrose who is his partner. It is Dr. Maksoud's many certificates from Harvard, and other esteemed Universities that grace the Office Managers office. I did not notice any for a Dr. Ambrose. I did not know that it would be Dr. Ambrose performing a crown lengthening, and was unaware of it till the moment that he entered the examination room after eavesdropping on my intake interview with the Dental Assistant. I have never had a Dr listen to an entire conversation from another room and then come in and comment on it. It was unsettling to say the least. That was our introduction and the experience went downhill from there. I was asked the normal questions; Are you allergic, Are you pregnant? To the allergies I answered as I always have, "None that I am aware of". As allergies develop randomly throughout a person's life, to say with certainty that you have none is a falsehood. No one has ever questioned me or argued with me about it before. Pretty simple, "To date, I have no allergies that I am aware of" Regarding pregnancy, I stated that I did not believe that I was pregnant, but that a woman never truly knows because even birth control pills can fail. With his arms crossed and a bored look on his face, He said, "What is your point?" Well, my point is it is better to be safe than sorry in my book and a woman honestly never knows if she is pregnant. I asked for two lead aprons. They only had one. When I tried to discuss the procedure with Dr. Ambrose, he walked away from me twice, going behind my chair and on his way out of the room. I had to ask him to please stay because I was not finished discussing my options with him. Despite the fact that I was clearly on the verge of tears, his demeanor became even less compassionate. It was the most callous treatment I have ever received from a Dr. I had to take a moment to calm down because I knew I would have to postpone treatment and I had been in excruciating pain for several months already. The office staff was good, but the environment was austere, cold and not at all inviting. Perhaps I caught Dr. Ambrose on a bad day, but I walked out because I no longer had any trust in him as my Dr. Sincerely, Marisol
